Rubber Plug
This plug is designed to form an effective secondary seal to comply with
SOLAS requirements. The cap can be supplied either loose or attached to the
valve and in black or red.
The plug will blow out at approximately 7psi to prevent the structure being
damaged if it is left in place
Screw Cap
This cap is designed to provide a secondary seal at high pressures. This
cap is often used for testing structures fitted with A10 valves where
pressures in excess of 6psi are to be used.
This cap can be supplied attached to the valve or separately.
A10 Skirt
The A10 skirt is designed to fit over the external part of the A10 valve to
produce a smoother profile. This skirt can be fitted where there is a risk
of lines snagging on the valve.
The skirt must be removed before a screw cap can be fitted.
Low Profile Housing Where a lower profile is
required, this housing reduces the height of the A10 by 8mm. The low profile
housing does not have the facility for fitting the plug or screw cap.
The low profile housing is often used in oil booms and for internal transfer
valves.
Spanner The correct tightening torque is essential for the satisfactory
performance of the A10 valve. We would always recommend the use of the
correct tightening tools. These tools are designed to provide a firm
location for the inner part of the valve and allow the use of a ½ inch
torque wrench to ensure the correct tightness.
